Our Story

Built by Farmers,
For Farmers

Solara was born in the soil of a Vermont vegetable farm—created by farmers who were tired of spreadsheets, sticky notes, and the chaos of planning season.

Our Mission

We believe that professional-grade farm planning tools should be accessible to every organic vegetable grower—not just industrial operations with six-figure software budgets.

Small-scale organic farms are the backbone of local food systems. They feed communities, regenerate soil, and create resilient local economies. But they often operate with the least sophisticated tools.

Solara changes that. We bring the same agricultural science, crop modeling, and data intelligence that powers university research to every market garden, CSA, and small farm.

Our Values

What drives every decision we make

Farmers First

Every feature we build starts with a farmer's real problem. We don't build tech for tech's sake—we build tools that make farms more profitable and sustainable.

Accessible Excellence

University-grade agricultural science shouldn't be locked behind expensive consultants. We democratize the tools that big ag takes for granted.

Community Driven

Our roadmap is shaped by our community of 4,600+ farmers. The features you see are the ones farmers voted for.

Data Integrity

We use real science—USDA soil data, APSIM crop models, 21 weather sources. No guesswork, no generic advice.
